    • Deaf Convention guests will be housed in Evangel University campus as needed. Rooms will be filled on a first-come first–serve basis, with respect to ADA accommodations (Please communicate with us if you need first floor ONLY or other accommodations)
    • Check-In for the Evangel University Dorm rooms begin Monday, June 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
    •  Register at the Registration Desk, in the Chapel foyer.
    •  The dorms are climate controlled (Air conditioned).
    • Check out of the Evangel University Dorm room is on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 10:00 am.
    •  Those wishing to stay later than 10 am will need to move to another location and seek other sleeping arrangements.
    • Please use the Room Request Form to let us know with whom you wish to share a room. To help us make sure you have the best stay possible, please tell us your age group and male/female on the registration form. This will help us to place you in the area most comfortable for you. For those who do not have a roommate preference, we will do our best to put someone with you near your age.
    • Those wishing to come earlier than June 20, 2016 at 2 pm will need to seek other sleeping arrangements until that time.

    Rooms and Meals

    The Combo Package Plan includes 5 nights lodging, Monday through Friday nights, meals from Monday evening through Saturday morning, including a Monday evening reception.

    We will not be able to refund meal prices if you should miss a meal, because the food is purchased beforehand according to the number of registrations received. We pay for the meals whether you eat or not. Even if you miss a meal, the cost is such that you will save money by not staying in a motel and eating out.

    Evangel University Cafeteria

    We will be eating our meals in the Evangel University Cafeteria (A Meal Card will be given to all using the Package Plan). Those staying off-campus will be able to eat at the Cafeteria by buying a meal ticket or paying for each meal directly to Evangel University as they go through the line (See Above).


    There will be a reception held on Wednesday evening, after the Wednesday worship service to celebrate NF’s 25th Anniversary.

    Mission Banquet

    We will be having a Mission Banquet on Friday at 5 pm, featuring one of our Missionaries at the banquet. Tickets are available for $25.00. Funds received for the banquet will go to help our AG World and US Missionaries, serving in the Deaf Culture field.

    Shuttle Service

    Free Shuttle Service will be provided to and from the Springfield National Airport ONLY to and from Evangel University, the Convention Site. The shuttle service will begin at 12:00 Noon on June 20, 2016 (Monday). The last trip the shuttle will make to the airport will be on or before 6 pm on June 25, 2016 (Saturday).

    If you plan to stay in a motel, you may want to check with the motel of your choice, to see if they offer shuttle service.
    NOTE: If you arrive before 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 20, or departing after 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 25, you will need to make your own transportation arrangements.

    Those requesting shuttle service need to send your arrival and departure times, flight number and airline used. Or send a copy of your itinerary to or call 417-848-7054 and leave a message.

    Make sure the itinerary is sent by June 13, 2016. That will provide us enough time to coordinate rides. We will pass your itinerary along to our drivers. If you provide your text or email address, the driver may contact you prior to picking you up at the airport. We will provide the shuttle service and have someone to help you with your luggage.

    Finally, since we will be offering room and board at Evangel University, transportation will not be provided during the Convention. We will need the Shuttles for our Youth and/or Children’s programs.


    Parking Permits will be available from Evangel University after you register. A Map of the campus is available online at and in your packet. Parking information will be provided on the map and we will have signs showing where you may park while at Evangel University.


    Sorenson Communications has agreed to provide Videophones for the Convention. We will let you know where you can find a videophone.

    Child Care (Baby Sitting)

    We will have a children’s program for ages 0 to 5 years old. The program will be provided during the services and workshops. Parents need to pick up their children before meals and after church services in the evening.

    Children’s Program

    Children ages 6 and above are welcome to come. We will have a program for them.

    Youth Program

    We will have a program for Deaf and hearing youth, ages 12 and up.

    Pets and Hearing Ear Dogs

    Due to the very busy schedule of the Convention and Evangel University policy, we must ask that you not bring any pets if you plan to stay in the Evangel University dorms.

    We would discourage the bringing of hearing ear dogs for the same reason. If you must bring your hearing ear dog, please write us for details.

    Exhibits/Booths/Public Relations Tables

    If you, your ministries, your business, or your church wants to set up a booth at the Convention you will need to register, and receive your permit at the Deaf Convention, with the Exhibits Registration Coordinator. To register a booth go here or call the Host for more information.

    Late Registration Deadline: June 1 – 25, 2016 (with the exception of Combo and Food registration, cut-off date is 6/15/16)

    The Package Pre-Registration plan is put together to enable us to give the best prices we can. It includes 5 nights lodging (M, T, W, Th, & F nights), 13 meals *, registration, missions banquet and 25th Anniversary reception.

    Children (6-12) – ½ Price
    Children (0-5) – Free

    NOTE: Those paying for several people with one check or money order should be sure a registration form and a room request form is completed for each person and is enclosed with the check or money order.

    Convention Pre–Registration ONLY

    This plan is for those who have places to stay in the Springfield area, who wish to stay in a motel, or who live in Springfield. Under this plan, you will still be able to eat in the cafeteria by buying a meal ticket or paying for each meal as you go through the line. It includes registration and insurance. All those attending the Convention (except those attending the evening services ONLY) must register.
